Οur US-based client is operating in the hospitality industry and plans to οpen a new grand, luxurious restaurant based on Greek island tastes and dishes, in November 2022. The restaurant is located in the exotic Cayman Islands, Caribbean Sea. Therefore, we are currently looking for an experienced and dynamic Sous Chef.
Job Description:
- Following Executive Chef’s specifications and guidelines.
- Maintaining and enhancing customers’ satisfaction.
- Helping in the preparation and design of all food menus
- Producing high quality plates both design and taste wise
- Ensuring that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets quality standards
- Filling in for the Executive Chef in planning and directing food preparation when necessary
- Resourcefully solving any issues that arise and seizing control of any problematic situation
- Managing and training kitchen staff, establishing working schedule and assessing staff’s performance
- Ordering supplies to stock inventory appropriately
- Complying with and enforcing sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintaining a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
Candidate’s profile:
- Degree in Culinary Arts or related certificate is mandatory
- Managerial skills
- At least 3 years of experience as a Sous Chef
- Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions
- Fluency in Greek and English (B2+).
