Our US-based client is operating in the hospitality industry and plans to open a new grand, luxurious restaurant based on Greek island tastes and dishes, in November 2022. The restaurant is located in the exotic Cayman Islands, Caribbean Sea. Therefore, we are currently looking for an experienced and dynamic Head Baker.
- Preparing a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies and bread following traditional and modern recipes
- Ensuring excellent quality throughout the dessert offerings
- Estimating and communicating daily production needs
- Demonstrating proper and safe usage of all kitchen equipment
- Knowing all standard procedures and policies regarding food preparation, storing and sanitation
- Having the ability to support the control of food cost
- Being able to clearly define productivity standards with quality requirements and methods required to obtain them.
- Degree in Culinary Arts
- At least 3+ years of experience as a Head Baker
- Excellent knowledge and experience in preparing sourdough crust
- Knowledge of modern baking techniques
- Previous professional experience in large scale cooking environments
- Fluency in Greek and English (B2+).
